Key 2026 Digital Updates You Must Know
Qatar's 2026 updates moved the country to an entirely digital oversight model, making the workplace environment more transparent for every member of the workforce.
The three biggest digital changes affecting expats:
- E-Contract Registration is Mandatory: All employment contracts must be registered digitally. Unregistered contracts have no legal standing
- Salary Payments Through WPS Only: Cash salary payments are no longer compliant. All payments must go through the WPS system.
- Express Labor Complaints Online: You can now file labor complaints through the Metrash2 app or the MDPS portal without visiting a physical office.
