The "Peace Council" held its first meeting in Washington Thursday, chaired by US President Donald Trump, with the participation of 47 countries, in addition to the European Union as an observer, to discuss the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip and ensuring stability in the region after the war.

In his opening remarks, President Trump announced that several countries had pledged more than seven billion dollars for the reconstruction of Gaza, and he revealed a US contribution of 10 billion dollars to the "Peace Council."

President Trump added that the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) will raise 75 million dollars for football-related projects in Gaza, noting that the United Nations will contribute two billion dollars for humanitarian aid.

Trump proposed forming the council last September when he announced his plan to end the Israeli war on Gaza.

He later stated that the Peace Council's mandate would expand to include areas beyond Gaza and address other conflicts around the world.
