Qatar Rejects Israeli Statements on Annexing Areas in Southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip

Doha, September 29, 2026 : The State of Qatar has expressed its categorical rejection of Israeli statements regarding the annexation of areas in southern Lebanon and areas extending to the "Yellow Line" in the Gaza Strip, describing them as a blatant challenge to international law and the resolutions of international legitimacy.

In a statement issued Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and compel the Israeli occupation government to halt its expansionist plans and settlement policy in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Ministry reiterated Qatar's steadfast support for the Palestinian cause and the resilience of the Palestinian people, based on ending the occupation and enabling Palestinians to attain their legitimate rights, foremost among them the establishment of an independent state along the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. It also reaffirmed Qatar's steadfast position in support of Lebanon and its sovereignty over its entire territory.
