Signs and Symptoms of Liver Problems

Early liver disease often causes no noticeable symptoms. As disease progresses, you may experience:
• Fatigue and general weakness
• Abdominal pain or swelling
• Nausea and loss of appetite
• Yellowing of skin and eyes (jaundice)
• Dark urine and pale stools
• Itching, especially on the palms and soles
• Swelling in legs and ankles (edema)
• Easy bruising and bleeding
• Confusion or difficulty concentrating
• Vomiting blood or dark-colored vomit
