Liver Screening and Testing

Regular screening can detect liver disease early when treatment is most effective:
• Liver Function Tests (LFTs): Blood tests measuring enzymes and proteins that indicate liver health.
• Ultrasound: Imaging that visualizes liver structure and detects fat, cysts, or tumors.
• Fibroscan (Transient Elastography): Measures liver stiffness to assess fibrosis without biopsy.
• Viral Hepatitis Testing: Screens for Hepatitis A, B, and C antibodies.
• Liver Biopsy: Tissue sample for detailed assessment when other tests are inconclusive.
