Qatar on Friday recorded 657 new Covid-19 cases. Of them, 532 are community cases and 125 of travellers returning from abroad. The total number of active cases stands at 9,498 with 349,581 recorded till date.

There were 1,289 patients who recovered in the last 24 hours with 339,427 recovered till date. So far, 656 have died from the virus, with the death of an 76-year-old reported on Friday.

A total of 29,321 vaccines were administered in the last 24 hours with 1,022,567 booster doses given till date. A total of 6,067,191 vaccine doses have been administered since the start of the vaccination campaign.

A total of 2.874 people were tested for the first time in the last 24 hours, with 26,469 tests administered in the last 24 hours. Till date, 3,337,093 have been tested.

There was one admission to ICU in the last 24 hours and 44 patients are currently receiving treatment in ICU. A total of two patients were admitted to hospital, bringing to 114 the total number of Covid-19 patients in hospital.
