Largest Quranic Endowment in Qatar

HE Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem inaugurated on Wednesday Al-Utrujah Endowment for the Holy Quran, the largest Quranic endowment in the country.

The endowment includes two residential buildings in Bin Mahmoud area, containing 112 high specification apartments, in addition to a sports club, health club, swimming pool, indoor and outdoor car parking space. The project consists of two adjacent buildings connected to each other through the ground floor. Each building consists of 7 floors, a basement and a ground floor.

The QR 68 million project generates an annual return of about QR 7 million, which will be spent on centers teaching Holy Quran in the State of Qatar. There are more than 163 centers teaching Holy Quran for more than 26 thousand students.

HE Director-General of the General Administration of Endowments at the Ministry Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Thani underlined the importance of Al-Utrujah Endowment for the Holy Quran, which was inaugurated today, in supporting the centers that teach Holy Quran in Qatar that are attended by thousands of male and female students.
