Qatar condemns Iraq's drone attack on Kuwaiti border posts

The State of Qatar expresses its strong condemnation over the targeting of two northern land border posts in the sisterly State of Kuwait by drones fired from the sisterly Republic of Iraq, and notes that this represents a blatant violation of Kuwait's sovereignty and poses a grave threat to regional security and stability.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on Iraq to assume its responsibilities so as not to reproduce such attacks.

The ministry reiterated Qatar's absolute solidarity with its sister state, the Gulf country of Kuwait and support for all steps taken to maintain its sovereignty and security.
