Qatar and Ecuador discuss further cooperation in Quito talks

Qatar and Ecuador have discussed ways to further strengthen their bilateral cooperation during talks held in the Ecuadorian capital, Quito. 

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed relations between their countries and explored avenues for deepening cooperation across a range of fields, along with a number of issues of common interest. 

The two sides affirmed their keenness to build on the friendly ties between Qatar and Ecuador and to expand practical cooperation in the period ahead. 

Qatar and Ecuador maintain diplomatic relations supported by resident embassies in Doha and Quito. In recent years the two countries have worked to broaden economic ties, with discussions covering areas such as trade and investment, energy, mining and infrastructure, and Ecuador has expressed interest in attracting Qatari investment while exploring opportunities in the Qatari market.

Bilateral engagement has included high-level exchanges and rounds of political consultations between the two foreign ministries, as both sides seek to enhance political dialogue and cooperation in fields of mutual benefit.
