Qatar's Prime Minister Holds Phone Call with Lebanese Prime Minister

Doha, Qatar | September 05, 2026 – HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held a phone call with HE Dr. Nawaf Salam, Prime Minister of the Lebanese Republic.

Bilateral Ties, Regional Developments Discussed

During the call, the two sides discussed cooperative relations between Qatar and Lebanon and ways to support and enhance them, along with the latest regional developments — particularly diplomatic efforts and joint coordination aimed at de-escalating tensions and reinforcing security and stability in the region.

Qatar Reaffirms Support for Regional Peace Efforts

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the State of Qatar's support for all diplomatic efforts and initiatives aimed at reaching a solution that guarantees freedom of maritime navigation and paves the way for a comprehensive agreement to bring lasting peace to the region.

Firm Backing for Lebanon's Stability Reiterated

His Excellency also reiterated Qatar's firm position in support of Lebanon's stability and territorial integrity, along with its continued support for the Lebanese people.
