The Ministry of Transport has announced the temporary suspension of all marine activities, effective 29 June 2026, until further notice. The precautionary measure has been introduced in coordination with the relevant security authorities to ensure public safety.


The ministry has urged all owners and users of marine vessels to comply with the directive and avoid all forms of marine activities until an official update is issued.


Marine Activities Affected


The temporary suspension applies to a wide range of recreational and commercial marine vessels, including:

 

  • Leisure boats

  • Fishing boats

  • Jet skis

  • Other similar marine vessels


However, the suspension does not apply to vessels operating under international maritime conventions. These vessels will continue their operations in accordance with applicable regulations and established procedures.


Public Advised to Follow Official Updates


The Ministry emphasized that the suspension is a precautionary measure aimed at protecting public safety. It has urged all marine vessel owners and operators to fully comply with the circular and monitor official communication channels for any future announcements regarding the resumption of marine activities.


Authorities will provide updates in coordination with the competent security authorities as the situation develops.
