3. Stay Hydrated — Fight Dry Mouth
- Saliva is your mouth's natural self-cleaning system — it washes away bacteria and food debris
- Dry mouth (xerostomia) is one of the most common causes of persistent bad breath
- Drink 2–3 litres of water daily — especially important in the hot UAE/Qatar climate
- Sip water consistently throughout the day — don't wait until you are thirsty
- Limit caffeine and alcohol — both cause dehydration and dry mouth
- Chew sugar-free gum (xylitol-based) — stimulates saliva production
Signs You Have Dry Mouth:
- Sticky or pasty feeling in the mouth
- Bad breath that persists despite brushing
- Thick saliva
- Difficulty swallowing dry food
