Israel Lebanon ceasefire
Gulf countries have welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, expressing hope that the move will ease tensions and restore stability in the region. Officials across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) praised the agreement as a positive step toward de-escalation after weeks of heightened conflict along the border.
Several Gulf nations reiterated their support for diplomatic solutions and called on all parties to fully commit to the ceasefire terms. They emphasized the importance of protecting civilians, ensuring humanitarian access, and preventing further violence.
Regional leaders also urged the international community to play an active role in sustaining peace and addressing the root causes of the conflict. The ceasefire is being viewed as an opportunity to revive dialogue and promote long-term security in the Middle East.
While cautious optimism remains, Gulf countries stressed that continued cooperation and restraint are essential to maintaining calm and avoiding another escalation in the fragile region.
