The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) organized a series of events and activities in several shopping malls in the country, to celebrate the 100-day countdown until the big kick-off of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 at the end of this year.

The celebrational activities were held in the "Doha Festival City", "Place Vendome Mall" and "Mall of Qatar", receiving a wide audience interaction. The activities included football challenges, video games, and ethnic performances celebrating the different communities residing in Qatar. Moreover, a draw was held with very special prizes won.

The celebrations held in Doha Festival City included a number of recreational activities on mini-football fields, in which fans got an opportunity to displaying their football skills, in addition to playing a number of video games, attracting children and young adults from the audience.

Furthermore, a draw for tickets to attend the opening match of the World Cup was organized. The first match will bring together the teams of Qatar and Ecuador at Al Bayt Stadium on November 20. Moreover, the draw ignited the audiences excitement for the start of the World Cup competitions.

As the countdown to the largest international sporting event begins, participants expressed their happiness with the activities held, which already got them in the mood for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Participants said that they found the activities entertaining and provided an exceptional and distinguished experience for all family members of all ages.

On the other hand, celebrations at the "Place Vendome Mall" in Lusail were no less exciting, where children enjoyed their allocated playing area, whereas adults participated in goal shooting, and robot goal-keeping challenges.

Additionally, several artistic and musical folkloric spectacles took place.

It is noteworthy that these activities were held today to prepare the public for the thrilling tournament that awaits them during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Similar to the other two malls, the "Mall of Qatar" also held football activities and video games during daytime.

Whereas during the evening, the public had an occasion to witness the Qatari Ardah; a traditional folkloric group sword dance, as well as folkloric performances from Morocco, India, and Cameroon.

The participants expressed their happiness with the event, which reflects the proximity of the historic hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which will be the first time for a country in the Arab region and the Middle East to host the competition.

Moreover, A draw for eight opening match tickets between Qatar and Ecuador was also held in the "Mall of Qatar".

The Qatar Heritage Ambassadors Khalid Salman, Ahmad Khalil, Mubarak Mostafa and Mohammed Saadon Al Kuwari participated in the process of drawing the names of the winners of the tickets.

In an exclusive interview with Qatar News Agency (QNA), Qatar Heritage Ambassador Ahmad Khalil expressed his excitement to witness the World Cup tournament take place in Qatar, which will be a precedent in the Arab World and the Middle East region. Khalil added that he is eager to see the Qatar national team make its first historic appearance in the great event.

Moreover, the Heritage Ambassador also said that as we observe the beginning of the 100 days count-down to the world cup tournament, the world becomes ever close to witness an extraordinary tournament that will always be remembered.

He also remarked the wide excitement with which the count-down was received by the public, indicating the huge support that the Qatari team will be surrounded with during the World Cup.
