Maher Zain and Humood Alkhuder
Tuesday, performers Maher Zain and Humood Alkhuder welcomed the Syrian refugees in Jordan's Za'atari Camp as special guests at the Fan Zone for Qatar Charity (QC).
The Fan Zone is a component of the campaign "Qatar FIFA 2022 for All: Celebrating Football with Refugees and Displaced people," which aims to spread World Cup joy to refugees and IDPs by showing World Cup games in refugee camps.
Artists Zain and Alkhudher unexpectedly visited the Syrian refugees at the Za'atari Camp as a show of support.
There were organized games involving kids and the musicians and artists.
Swar al-Dahab, a sports commentator, also attended the event and covered the game in real time.“This has been an incredible experience, I am immensely humbled to have been able to join refugees in Za'atari Camp, to enjoy the football matches together, sing together and play football together,” Zain said. “I am happy to have been part of an initiative that aims to extend the joy of the World cup to refugees and displaced persons.”
