New York, November 02, 2026 : The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) documented 397 attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians across the occupied West Bank in October, marking the highest monthly figure since it began monitoring such incidents in 2006.
According to an OCHA report issued on Sunday, the recorded total did not include the final five days of October, indicating that the actual number of incidents during the month could be higher.
The report documented 62 attacks between October 20 and 26, affecting 49 Palestinian communities across the West Bank. Of these incidents, 38 were linked to the olive harvest season.
During the same period, 57 Palestinians, including nine children, were injured in incidents involving Israeli settlers and Israeli forces across various parts of the West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem. Settlers were responsible for injuries to 23 Palestinians, while Israeli forces injured 34 others through gunfire and other actions.
The figures highlight the continuing impact of settler violence on Palestinian communities. Last month, Amnesty International called on the international community to impose sanctions on Israeli officials implicated in violations of international law and take urgent steps to address the escalation in settler attacks, particularly as the olive harvest season began.
