Doha, November 02, 2026 : HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani attended a ceremony marking the 30th anniversary of Al Jazeera Media Network’s launch, held at the network’s headquarters on Sunday under the slogan “And the Story Continues”.
Ahead of the celebration, HH the Amir viewed a visual presentation and interactive display showcasing major milestones in the network’s history and its media journey over the past three decades.
His Highness also watched a documentary featuring selected speeches by HH the Late Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, highlighting the network’s role in the media landscape and the vision behind its establishment.
The programme included speeches by HE Chairman of Al Jazeera Media Network’s Board of Directors Sheikh Hamad bin Thamer Al-Thani and Director General Sheikh Nasser bin Faisal Al-Thani. It also featured an opening video and presentations outlining the network’s key achievements, figures and future plans.
Following the ceremony, HH the Amir toured the network’s new studios and newsroom, where he was briefed on the latest broadcasting equipment and technologies used in television news production.
The event was attended by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, several sheikhs and ministers, members of the network’s Board of Directors, Al Jazeera staff, media professionals, intellectuals and senior officials from various countries.
Amir Praises Al Jazeera’s Role in Arab and Global Media
In a post on his official X account, HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani praised Al Jazeera Media Network for strengthening its position in the Arab and international media landscape over the past 30 years.
His Highness said the network had helped bring the voice of the region and its causes to audiences around the world. He also expressed pride in its journey and wished the network and its staff continued success and progress.
