Tokyo, October 27, 2026 : HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi met with Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi in Tokyo on Monday to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional developments.
The meeting reviewed relations between Qatar and Japan and explored ways to strengthen and expand cooperation. Both sides also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments, including diplomatic initiatives aimed at easing tensions and promoting security and stability.
Dr. Al Khulaifi reaffirmed Qatar’s support for diplomatic efforts and initiatives to secure freedom of maritime navigation and pave the way for a comprehensive agreement that would establish lasting peace in the region.
For his part, Motegi praised Qatar’s role in mediation and diplomatic initiatives aimed at reducing tensions, encouraging dialogue and strengthening regional security and stability.\
