Moscow, October 27, 2026 : HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday at His Highness’s residence in Moscow, ahead of the eighth summit of heads of state and government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).
The meeting addressed regional developments, with particular focus on the latest developments in negotiations, the Strait of Hormuz and energy supplies. The two sides also discussed matters on the summit’s agenda.
HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani and HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi attended the meeting, along with several members of HH the Amir’s official delegation.
Representing Iran were HE Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, HE Head of the President’s Office Mohsen Haji-Mirzaei and several senior officials.
