Qatar Rail Tennis Open Tournament
The 7th edition of the Qatar Rail Tennis Open Tournament kicked off at Qatar Tennis Federation on Saturday.
To run until November 17, 280 male and female players, including players from the national teams, will take part.
A range of competitions for age groups U10 and U12, in addition to competitions for men, women, and pioneers will be held.
Secretary General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation Tariq Zainal stated that the new edition of the tournament witnessed a wide turnout, which reflects the status it has reached over the past years as one of the most prominent local competitions in tennis.
Zainal praised the sponsorship of Qatar Rail, a leading national company, for this local championship and its commitment to adopting a number of community initiatives in various fields, including the sports and tennis sectors.
Through this partnership, the Federation and Qatar Rail look forward to supporting Qatari players and promoting the game on a large scale within Qatar, he added.
