Officials prosecute 88 for violating preventive measure
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) officials booked 88 individuals in the country for violating preventive and precautionary measures that were enforced in order to curb the further spread of coronavirus (Covid-19).Â
Among the booked 88 violators, 77 were booked for not wearing face masks in the public, and 11 other individuals were booked for not following mandatory social distances in places.Â
All of the violated individuals were referred to the public prosecution.Â
The measures are in accordance with the Cabinet decision and Decree Law No. 17 of 1990 on infectious diseases, and the precautionary measures imposed in the region to limit the rapid spreading deadly disease.
The competent authorities urged all the citizens and residents to follow all the preventive measures kept in place to make sure their safety and the safety of other individuals in the country are assured.Â
