The Ministry of Municipality has announced the launch of a Honey Festival at Umm Salal Central Market from January 9 to 18, 2025. Organized by the Department of Agricultural Affairs in collaboration with Hassad Food Company, the event is part of the ongoing Umm Salal Winter Festival activities.
Visitors can explore the festival daily from 9 AM to 1 PM and 4 PM to 8 PM, where a diverse range of locally produced honey will be showcased, reflecting Qatar's natural richness. The event also aims to support local farmers and encourage honey production.
The Umm Salal Winter Festival, running from November 21, 2024, to February 19, 2025, features a variety of exhibitions and activities promoting Qatar’s national identity and local products.
Notable past events include the Flower Festival, held from December 19 to 26, 2024, which displayed local flowers and plants while promoting sustainable agriculture and environmental awareness.
Umm Salal Central Market, spanning 60,000m² and managed by Aswaq for Food Facilities Management (a subsidiary of Hassad Food), serves as a hub for local agricultural events. Conveniently located at the intersection of key highways, the market connects to major ports across Qatar.
