The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a temporary closure of the southbound lanes on West Industrial Street from Street 15 to Street 33, scheduled for November 15, 2024. The closure will be in effect from midnight (12:00 am) until 10:00 am to facilitate the installation of gantry structures, as per Ashghal's recent statement on social media.
Northbound lanes will remain open during this period, ensuring traffic flow for those traveling in that direction. Southbound drivers, however, are advised to take alternative routes, specifically using Street 15 to connect to Al Kassarat Street.
This road closure has been planned in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, to minimize disruptions while essential infrastructure upgrades are conducted. Ashghal has urged motorists to drive carefully, respect the speed limits, and pay close attention to temporary directional and traffic signs. Commuters are also encouraged to avoid the area during peak hours, if possible.
The Public Works Authority continues to work closely with local authorities to ensure smooth and safe traffic management during the installation period.
