Sichuan–Tibet Highway, China
At over 2,100 kilometers, this route combines altitude sickness, frequent landslides, and unpredictable weather while crossing some of the world's highest mountain passes. Rockfalls regularly block the road, and a single mistake on its steep, cliff-hugging sections can mean a fall of thousands of meters.
