With 16 light and heavy vehicle inspection lanes per hour, the Vehicles Technical Inspection Center (Fahes) in Al Mazrouah is the largest in the country.
According to an official, the Vehicles Technical Inspection Center (Fahes) in Al Mazrouah has become the largest in the country, with 16 lanes of inspection per hour for light and heavy vehicles.Â
By expanding lanes, Fahes centres can speed up inspection procedures, thereby reducing motorists' waiting times.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Ali Jarallah Al Baridi, Head of the Technical Inspection Section, "The Fahes Center offers complete traffic services to motorists in Al Mazrouah with 14 lanes for heavy vehicles and two for light vehicles."
During a recent interview with Qatar TV, Al Baridi said that the Center provides services such as vehicle registration, renewal of road permits, number plate issuance, and more.
Al Baridi said that all vehicles inspected at the inspection centers are thoroughly inspected internally and externally to ensure they meet technical and legal requirements.Â
He further affirmed that the Traffic section in the Fahes of Al Mazrouah offers services for registering new vehicles and heavy vehicles, renewing road permits, transferring ownership, issuing number plates, and cancelling road permits.
Fahes has a number of vehicles inspection centers across the country including Al Mazrouah, Al Wakra, Wukair, Al Sheehaniya, Al Egda, Industrial Area, Wadi Al Banat, Mesaimeer and Madinat Al Shamal.
The company has been upgrading its facilities to better serve the motorists by adding more lanes to increase the capacity of inspection, thus reducing the waiting time.
As a result of renovations at the Fahes center at the Industrial Area, the capacity of the facility was increased to 1,000 light vehicles daily. The facility receives all types of light vehicles for inspection from 6am to 6pm.
A number of advanced technologies and equipment are used by Fahes Industrial Area Center, following strict GCC and international safety and security requirements.
A fully automated process is used for the inspection process and issuance of inspection reports.
