Sheikha Asma Al-Thani became the first Arabic athlete to reach the summit of Mount Kangchenjunga

Qatari mountaineer Sheikha Asma Al Thani is the first Arabic athlete to reach the top of Mountain Kanchenjunga, one of the world's third-highest mountains, located between Nepal and India, that is 8586 meters high.

''I'd been sick for a couple of days and was worried I wouldn't make it. But trying is always better than not, right?'' Sheikha Asma shared her achievement in an inspiring Instagram post.

"When you really want something, fight for it — don't give up no matter how hopeless it appears. And when you've given up hope, ask yourself if you'll wish you'd given it one more shot in a couple of years. The best things in life don't come easy. Don't let fear keep you from doing the things you want to do," she added.

"I am humbled to be the first Arab to summit Kanchenjunga, hopefully to many more," she further added.

Sheikha Asma's achievements include being the 1st Qatar to ski the North Pole, the 1st Qatari woman to summit Mount Aconcagua in 2019, and the first Qatari woman to summit Antarctica's highest mountain Vinson Massif, which stands 4892 km tall.

Qatar Olympic Committee congratulated Sheikha Asma on her achievement in the tweet below:
