Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Stock Exchange general index opened lower on Monday. The index lost 11.49 points, or 0.11%, to reach 10,469 points compared to the previous session's close.
Sectors Under Pressure
Five sectors dragged on the index in early trading. Real Estate slipped 0.11%, while Telecoms fell 0.12%. Consumer Goods and Services dropped 0.13%, and Banks and Financial Services declined 0.15%. Industrials led the losses, falling 0.46%.
Sectors That Gained
Two sectors moved higher despite the broader decline. Transportation rose 0.99%, while Insurance gained 0.54%.
Trading Activity
By 10:00 am, trading turnover reached QAR 46.096 million. Investors traded 17.998 million shares across 2,853 transactions during that period.
