Al Arabi won the second edition of the Qatar Football Association (QFA) Cup for the 2021-2022 football season after defeating Lusail 3-2, Sunday at Thani Bin Jassim Stadium in Al Gharafa Club.
Al Arabi, which was crowned with its last title, the Sheikh Jassim Cup in 2011, had finished runners-up in the second group behind Lusail, after obtaining nine points, before its success in eliminating Al Kharaitiyat in the quarterfinals, and then Al Shamal in the semi-finals.
The current edition of the tournament witnessed the participation of clubs from the first and second tiers, except for the Golden Square clubs Al Sadd, Al Duhail, Al Rayyan and Al Gharafa.
Al Sailiya was crowned winners of the first edition of the championship.Â
