Qatar Minister Receives Albanian Credentials

HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi with HE Jeta Kreka

Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, received on Sunday a copy of the credentials of H.E. Jeta Kreka, Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the State of Qatar.
H.E. Al Muraikhi wished the Ambassador success in performing her duties, assuring her of Qatar's full support in advancing bilateral relations and fostering closer cooperation between the two countries across various fields.
Ambassador Kreka was appointed to the post by Albanian President Bajram Begaj via Decree No. 138 on March 12, 2026. At 26, she is among Albania's youngest ambassadors, an appointment that drew some debate during parliamentary hearings, with certain opposition members initially raising concerns about her age and experience. Other lawmakers pointed to her years of study and residence in Qatar as a genuine advantage in understanding the country's language, culture, and diplomatic landscape.
Ambassador Kreka is an alumna of Georgetown University in Qatar's School of Foreign Service, Class of 2023. She has spoken publicly about how studying diplomacy in Doha shaped her understanding of how small states navigate international relations, describing the experience as having given her a distinctive lens on regional and global politics.
