The Ministry of Defence hosted the fifth meeting of the Qatari-Turkish Joint Higher Military Committee in Doha on Wednesday. The Qatari side in the meeting was led by Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces HE Staff Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit, while the Turkish side was led by Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces General Yasar Guler.Â
The meeting dealt with a number of issues on the committee’s agenda related to strengthening the existing cooperation between the two countries in various military and security fields. The meeting was attended by a number of senior commanders and officers of the Qatar Armed Forces, as well as members of the Turkish delegation.
