Qatar Social Work Foundation and Lusail Sports Club signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support and develop the capabilities of civil society organizations, advance them, and enhance and activate their role in the society.
The MoU aims to frame the cooperation between the foundation and the sports club in the field of integrating and involving the target groups from the centers working under the umbrella of the Foundation in the various activities, programs and events, to help these groups be an effective and influential part in achieving the vision of each of the parties.
The MoU was signed by CEO of Qatar Social Work Foundation Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Kuwari, and President of Lusail Sports Club Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Mudahka.
Under the MoU, the two sides will cooperate in developing strategies, policies and programs that contribute to the advancement of these centers, and the preservation of the rights of their beneficiary groups, in a way that enables them to achieve the goals for which these centers were established.
It also stipulates the joint cooperation of the two parties in areas of mutual interest in the field of work of each party. In this context, the Foundation will hold introductory meetings for members and employees of the Academy of Lusail Sports Club, in addition to organizing and supervising joint events that achieve the objectives of each party.
The two parties will also cooperate in inviting and encouraging the target groups in the centers affiliated with the Foundation and their parents to join and participate in the events, programs and activities organized by Lusail SC, as well as encouraging them to participate and join free sports facilities and benefit from them, in accordance with the systems and procedures followed by the centers affiliated with the first party in this regard.
Commenting on the MoU, Qatar Social Work CEO Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Kuwari said that the memorandum of understanding aims to advance and develop the centers affiliated with the Foundation through joint cooperation with Lusail SC by holding, organizing and supervising joint events that achieve the goals of each party.
He noted that the diversity of services provided by the centers affiliated with Qatar Social Work Foundation, and the diversity of the beneficiary groups, will enrich the joint activities and events between the Foundation and Lusail SC, thus maximizing and enhancing the desired benefits from the memorandum of understanding.
He added that engaging and encouraging the target groups in the centers and their parents to join and participate in the programs and activities held by Lusail SC enhances the mental health of the target groups through exercise, accordingly enhances their integration into society.
