Qatar PM & Omani Foreign Minister Discuss Maritime Navigation & Peace

DOHA — His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, held a telephone conversation on Sunday, September 13, 2026, with His Excellency Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman.  

During the discussion, the two ministers reviewed bilateral relations and explored avenues to expand cooperation across key sectors to benefit both nations.

 The dialogue focused heavily on pressing regional developments. Both sides highlighted joint coordination and ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at easing regional tensions and bolstering security and stability.

 His Excellency the Prime Minister reaffirmed Qatar's steadfast commitment to supporting diplomatic initiatives aimed at resolving conflicts peacefully. He emphasized the importance of securing freedom of maritime navigation and reaching a comprehensive agreement to ensure sustainable, long-term peace across the region.
