Qatar Condemns Renewed Iranian Attacks on Jordan

Doha, September 9, 2026 : The State of Qatar has strongly condemned renewed attacks by the Islamic Republic of Iran against the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, describing them as a flagrant violation of Jordan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and a clear breach of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and the principles of good neighborliness.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the continuation of the attacks constitutes a serious escalation that could further complicate efforts to contain regional tensions and undermine political and diplomatic initiatives aimed at promoting security and stability.

The Ministry held the Islamic Republic of Iran legally responsible for the attacks and their resulting repercussions and consequences.

Qatar also reaffirmed its full solidarity with Jordan and expressed its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

The Ministry called for an immediate and comprehensive halt to all military operations and attacks that threaten regional security and stability. It also urged all parties to refrain from actions that could widen the cycle of escalation, return to dialogue and negotiations, and uphold the understandings reached through diplomatic efforts.
