Largest natural Flower Bouquet
December 23, 2023

In December, a remarkable achievement took place as Al Wakrah Municipality revealed the world's largest natural flower arrangement at Al Hikma Square in Katara. With dimensions of 6 meters in height and width, the bouquet comprised 5,564 locally sourced Petunia seedlings in diverse colors.

Notably, the bouquet was crafted sustainably, incorporating an eco-friendly irrigation system, showcasing Qatar's strong commitment to environmental sustainability. This accomplishment not only secured a Guinness World Record but also underscored Qatar's pledge to safeguarding the beauty of nature and prioritizing environmental conservation.

Largest Plastic Bottle Sentence

In partnership with Expo 2023 Doha, Mazzraty, a Sustainable Food Partner of the Expo, set a Guinness World Record by constructing the lengthiest sentence using 35,003 bottles, spelling out 'Qatar's finest.' 

The sentence, measuring 10m X 25m (32.8ft X 82ft), was crafted from upright tightly packed capped plastic bottles. Surpassing the previous record of 32,000 bottles, this record-breaking sentence is showcased at the Family Zone of Al Bidda Park.

It serves as a testament to a historic achievement and emphasizes Qatar's dedication to environmental sustainability, circular economy, and social responsibility.

Tallest Freestanding 3D-printed Concrete Structure
October 16, 2023

Situated in the Expo 2023 Doha setting, the Smart Qatar TASMU Pavilion, officially opened by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, secured the Guinness World Record for the "Tallest Freestanding 3D Printed Concrete Structure." 

Covering an area of 170 square meters and reaching a height of 12.4 meters, the ten-tiered tower, featuring seven bricks in each row, was created from 75 separate pieces utilizing advanced 3D printing methods. This construction represents Qatar's dedication to technological advancement, seamlessly blending traditional values with state-of-the-art technology.

Longest Motorsport Pitlane Building
October 1, 2023

Leading up to the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix on October 6, 2023, the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) contributed to the growing excitement by achieving another world record. 

The Lusail International Circuit made history by securing the Guinness World Record for the "Longest Motorsport Pitlane Building," boasting an impressive length of 402.1 meters. This record-setting facility featured 50 racing car garages, a cutting-edge race control tower, a paddock area, and luxurious five-star VIP sections.

Largest Green Roof
September 30, 2023

In September of last year, the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) achieved a Guinness World Records accolade with Expo 2023's primary structure earning the esteemed title of "The Largest Green Roof." Covering an extensive area of 4,031 square meters, this building establishes a worldwide benchmark for green infrastructure in warm climates. 

The roof, crafted to offer visitors an interactive encounter with both nature and contemporary urban construction, was adorned with Pennisetum, Dahlia, and green grass.

Fastest crossing of Qatar on Foot (Female)
April 6, 2023

In a remarkable athletic accomplishment, Filipino expatriate Michelle Butiu set a new record for the "Fastest Crossing of Qatar on Foot (Female)" on April 6, 2023. 

Michelle achieved this feat by traversing the distance from Al Ruwais to Abu Samra in an impressive time of 1 day, 6 hours, 23 minutes, and 42 seconds, surpassing the previous record held by Sufiya Sufi Khan.

Longest Inflatable Obstacle course
March 5, 2023

In the InflataRUN Doha 2023, Events & Entertainment Enterprises (E3) achieved the Guinness World Record for the "Longest Inflatable Obstacle Course" with their InflataMONSTER. 

This exceptional course comprised 60 sections and over 100 obstacles, measuring an impressive 1,055.225 meters. This length is nearly twice as long as the previous record of 568.10 meters, held by Conifox Adventure Park in Scotland.

Fastest crossing of Qatar on Foot (Male)
February 17, 2023

Shakeer Cheerayi, from Doha Bank Retail Banking, achieved the Guinness World Record for the "Fastest Crossing of Qatar on Foot (Male)." Engaging in a solo ultra marathon from the Abu Samra border to Al Ruwais, Shakeer successfully completed the demanding route in an impressive time of 1 day, 6 hours, and 56 minutes. 

This accomplishment occurred between February 17 and 18, 2023, surpassing the previous record set by Doha-based Filipino runner Romil Abule in October 2022, which was 1 day, 8 hours, and 59 minutes.
