Qatar Students Earn Eight Honorary Certificates at World Mathematical and Logical Games in Italy

Qatari students delivered a strong performance at the 40th edition of the international competition in Milan, which brought together 595 contestants from 23 countries.

Qatari students have achieved notable international recognition after receiving eight honorary certificates at the 40th World Mathematical and Logical Games in Milan, Italy.

The achievement reflects the students’ strong performance in mathematics and logical thinking and highlights Qatar’s growing participation in international scientific and academic competitions.

The students underwent an extensive preparation process before travelling to Italy. The programme began with screening tests conducted across public and private schools, followed by intensive training delivered by local and international trainers.

The preparation was supervised and followed up by Mathematics Department supervisors at the Educational Guidance Department within the Ministry of Education and Higher Education’s Educational Affairs Sector.

During their stay in Milan, the Qatari delegation continued its preparation through intensive sessions focused on solving mathematical and logical problems and developing analytical-thinking strategies.

This was Qatar’s second participation in the championship, underscoring the Ministry’s efforts to expand opportunities for talented students to gain experience at international competitions and strengthen their readiness to compete at a high level.

Beyond the competition itself, the Qatari delegation also organised an interactive cultural event introducing participants to Qatar and its heritage. Activities included logic games inspired by Qatari identity as well as displays and models representing prominent landmarks in the country.

The cultural programme attracted interest from students, supervisors and other international delegations, combining the academic competition with an opportunity for cultural exchange.

The achievement forms part of the Education Affairs Sector’s broader efforts to identify talented students, develop mathematical and logical abilities and invest in national competencies capable of competing internationally.
