FIFA World Cup 2022 Security and Safety Operations Committee probe into destruction of stadium seats

 The Security and Safety Operations Committee (SSOC) of the 2022 FIFA World Cup has started investigation into the destruction of seats in a stadium that hosted the FIFA Arab Cup matches.

In a statement, the committee said the competent authorities have begun the investigation to catch the violators and take legal action against them.

The committee’s response came after it obtained video clips circulated on social media, showing destruction of seats in one of the stadiums that hosted FIFA Arab Cup matches.

Further, the SSOC has called on fans to show the importance of sportsmanship, abide by laws and preserve the sports facilities they frequent to encourage their teams and inspire them the required enthusiasm.
