Exactly one year after Lionel Messi lifted the prestigious FIFA World Cup Trophy, making football history, FIFA+ has unveiled "FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022: A Historic World Cup" – the official film capturing the inaugural edition of FIFA's flagship event held in the Middle East.

This official film provides a distinctive glimpse into the tournament, featuring commentaries from the broadcasters covering goal-scoring moments and emotional highlights from past tournament finals.

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 set numerous records, including 172 goals scored and engagement from five billion people. The tournament, enjoyed by 3.4 million spectators inside the stadiums (an increase from 3 million in 2018), became the highest-scoring FIFA World Cup in history with 172 goals, surpassing the previous record of 171 set in 1998 and 2014.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino invited fans to relive the emotions of the historic World Cup on FIFA+, emphasizing that Qatar 2022 was the best World Cup ever.
