Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs held a meeting in Doha with the Secretary General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), focusing on strengthening cooperation between Qatar and the 10 member regional bloc.
The discussion covered political coordination, economic partnerships, investment opportunities, and joint development initiatives. Both sides reviewed the progress made in recent years and highlighted the importance of expanding collaboration in areas such as energy, food security, logistics, and multilateral diplomacy.
The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to deepening engagement with ASEAN countries and supporting regional stability through dialogue and constructive partnerships. The ASEAN Secretary General praised Qatar’s growing role in international mediation and its active outreach to Asian partners, noting that enhanced cooperation would benefit both sides.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to maintain regular consultations and explore new frameworks for institutional cooperation.
