Mask restrictions lifted for all schools in Qatar
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) announced the abolition of the mandatory wearing of the masks in schools. The ministry said in a statement published on its Twitter account that, based on prior coordination with the Ministry of Public Health, and in light of the health indicators of the Corona pandemic (COVID-19), the Ministry decided the below as of next Sunday, April 3:
Allowing all students not to wear a mask, in all public and private schools and kindergartens, and wearing a mask is optional for students who wish to do so.
Continue to perform weekly antigen rapid home testing, for unvaccinated and unrecovered students, according to pre-established procedures.
The Ministry called on students to continue to adhere to all other precautionary measures, in order to preserve their safety.
