Ministry announces temporary road closure on Al Markhiya Street until 18 July 2026

The Ministry of Interior has announced a temporary road closure on Al Markhiya Street, which will remain in effect until 18 July 2026 as part of ongoing road management and maintenance measures.

According to the ministry, the closure will be implemented during specific overnight and early morning hours to minimize disruption to daily traffic. 

From Sunday to Thursday, the affected section of the road will be closed from 12:00 am to 5:00 am. 

On Fridays, the closure will be in place from 2:00 am to 10:00 am, while on Saturdays, it will be effective from 2:00 am to 7:00 am.

Motorists are advised to plan their journeys in advance, follow traffic signs, and use alternative routes where necessary during the closure periods. The Ministry has urged all road users to exercise caution and cooperate with traffic authorities to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety throughout the temporary closure period.
