Switzerland vs Bosnia

A Sudden Explosion

Football fans endured eighty minutes of incredibly boring, defensive football today. Then, the match exploded into pure, violent chaos. Switzerland finally broke the deadlock in the 74th minute through Johan Manzambi. Tarik Muharemovic took a straight red card for Bosnia shortly after. This massive defensive error completely opened the floodgates.

Trading Late Blows

Ruben Vargas scored the second Swiss goal in the 84th minute. Everyone assumed the match was completely finished at that point. Manzambi scored his second goal right as the clock hit ninety minutes. Then, the referee added a massive eight minutes of stoppage time. Bosnia found a sudden, shocking lifeline in the 93rd minute. Ermin Mahmic smashed a beautiful, fiery volley past the Swiss keeper.

The Final Penalty Dagger

The Swiss refused to let Bosnia celebrate their late consolation goal. They attacked the penalty box aggressively in the dying seconds. A clumsy Bosnian defender committed a terrible foul inside the area. The referee instantly pointed to the penalty spot. Granit Xhaka stepped up and buried the 97th-minute shot into the corner. The Swiss secure three points after an absolutely wild final fifteen minutes.
