2. Breathe Clean Air
Indoors:
• Open windows daily to ventilate your home
• Use an air purifier with a HEPA filter, especially in bedrooms
• Avoid burning incense, candles, and chemical sprays in enclosed spaces
• Fix mould and damp immediately — mould spores are highly damaging to lungs
• Use exhaust fans when cooking — cooking fumes are a significant indoor pollutant
Outdoors (especially relevant in Dubai/Qatar):
• Check the Air Quality Index (AQI) before outdoor activity
• Avoid outdoor exercise during sandstorms or high-pollution days
• If AQI is above 150, wear an N95 mask outdoors
