HH the Amir Participates in Multilateral Meeting Hosted by the United States in New York

New York, September 23, 2026 : HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani took part on Tuesday in a multilateral meeting convened by the United States at UN headquarters in New York, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting brought together a wide array of regional and international leaders, including HE US President Donald Trump, HM King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, HE President of the Syrian Arab Republic Ahmed Al Sharaa, and HE President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Also in attendance were HH Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, HE Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq Ali Faleh Al Zaidi, HE Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and HE Prime Minister of the Lebanese Republic Dr. Nawaf Salam.

The gathering further included HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, HH Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Badr Al Busaidi, and HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, alongside a number of senior officials and delegation members.

Discussions at the meeting focused on the latest developments in the Middle East's security situation and their broader repercussions for regional and international stability, as well as their impact on energy supplies and the global economy. Participants also explored proposed strategies for the post-war phase and related arrangements, reviewing ways to advance peace and stability efforts by prioritizing dialogue and diplomatic solutions.

The meeting was also attended by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, along with several members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir.
