HH the Amir Holds Phone Call with US Secretary of Defense

HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani

HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held a telephone conversation with HE Secretary of Defense of the United States of America Lloyd Austin on Tuesday evening.

During the phone call which HH the Amir received from HE the US Secretary of Defense, the two sides reviewed the strategic relations between the two countries and means of enhancing them.

The phone call also touched on the latest developments in Afghanistan. In this context, the US Secretary of Defense expressed thanks and appreciation of the United States to HH the Amir for the efforts exerted by the State of Qatar in supporting peace in Afghanistan and facilitating the civilian evacuation process from the country.
