Jeddah, October 7, 2026 : Saudi Arabia won the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup title after defeating the UAE 2-0 in the final, held Tuesday at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.

The victory marks Saudi Arabia's fourth Gulf Cup title, following previous wins in 1994, 2002, and 2003, drawing them level with Iraq as the tournament's second most successful team and ending a 23-year title drought.

Hammam Al Hammami opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a strike from outside the box. Two minutes later, Firas Al Buraikan doubled the lead, finishing off a pass from Nasser Al Dawsari.

Both sides struck the woodwork during the match, including efforts from Saudi Arabia's Saleh Abu Al Shamat and the UAE's Nicolas Gimenez and Fabio Lima, but Saudi Arabia held on to secure the trophy.
