Riyadh, September 17, 2026 : One person was killed and two others injured after debris fell in Taif, Saudi Arabia, following the interception and destruction of a drone launched by the Houthi group, according to Saudi authorities.
Saudi Civil Defense spokesperson said the incident resulted in the death of a Yemeni resident, while a Saudi woman and a Pakistani resident were injured. The Pakistani national was reported to be in critical condition.
The incident also caused material damage to a number of buildings and vehicles, the spokesperson said.
Authorities confirmed that established emergency and safety procedures were immediately implemented following the incident.
