A Physical Street Fight
Football purists absolutely hated watching this match today. Ghana and Panama engaged in a brutal, ugly physical brawl. The referee constantly stopped the game to award endless fouls. Neither team could establish a fluid passing rhythm on the pitch. Caleb Yirenkyi earned a careless yellow card in the 16th minute. This early booking set a highly aggressive tone for the entire match.
Breaking the Rhythm
Panama committed incredibly cynical fouls to stop Ghanaian counter-attacks. Carlos Harvey and Cristian Martinez repeatedly dragged down opposing midfielders. Ghana responded with equal aggression and hard, violent tackles. Jordan Ayew and Antoine Semenyo committed multiple fouls out of sheer frustration. Cesar Blackman finally earned a yellow card for Panama in the 72nd minute. The match lacked beautiful football entirely.
Late Stoppage Chaos
The violence escalated heavily as the clock ticked down. Prince Adu committed two late fouls just to waste precious seconds. Both managers screamed at the referee from their respective touchlines. Ghana eventually cut through the physical chaos in the 95th minute. Caleb Yirenkyi scored a brilliant goal to end the miserable deadlock. Ghana takes the three points, but they bruised plenty of shins doing it.
