HH The Amir met with a number of world leaders at COP26
HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met on Monday with a number of Their Highnesses and Excellencies leaders of sisterly and friendly states and heads of delegations taking part in the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) at the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow, Scotland.
HH the Amir met with HE President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah Al Sisi; HE President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani; HE President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and President of the African Union Felix Tshisekedi; HE President of the Republic of Seychelles Wavel Ramkalawan; HE President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Gotabaya Rajapaksa; and HE President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian.
HH the Amir also met with HH Prime Minister of the Republic of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah; HE Prime Minister of the Republic of Lebanon Najib Mikati; HE Prime Minister of the National Unity Government of the State of Libya Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh; HE Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Dr. Angela Merkel; HE Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau; HE Prime Minister of the Italian Republic Mario Draghi; HE Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania Edi Rama; and a number of heads of delegations taking part in the summit.
The meetings reviewed aspects of cooperation and ways of enhancing and developing them, as well as opinions and viewpoints on the most prominent developments in the region, and the most important topics listed on the agenda of the summit.
The meetings were attended by a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir.
