November 26, 2023: Qatar's sky will feature 'The Pleiades' star cluster near the moon

The Qatar Calendar House (QCH) announced that on November 26, 2023, the star cluster called The Pleiades will appear in proximity to the moon. This celestial event will be observable in the eastern sky of the State of Qatar from post-sunset until the moon sets at 5:51 am on November 27, 2023.

The Pleiades, also recognized as the Seven Sisters, is a stunning star cluster in the Taurus constellation. Comprising approximately 250 stars, it's distinguished by seven prominent stars visible to the naked eye. This cluster has been a subject of fascination in various cultures throughout history and holds significance in astronomy and mythology across different civilizations.
