Qatar's national football side will meet El Salvador in a friendly as part of their build-up for FIFA World Cup 2026, which takes place in the United States, Mexico and Canada from 11 June to 19 July 2026.
In a news release dated Thursday, 23 April 2026, the Qatar Football Association (QFA) said the matchup would be in Los Angeles on 06 June. Qatar have been placed in Group B with Canada, Switzerland and Bosnia Herzegovina.
National coach Felix Sanchez is expected to start preparing the Qatari squad after the conclusion of the domestic football season.
The Pumas' training agenda will include a test match against Ireland on 28 May 2026 before flying to the United States for the final stages of their build-up.
They will also play the Switzerland national team to continue preparing for the kick-off of the World Cup, on 13 June in San Francisco, USA; face its Canadian counterpart in the second match on 18 June in Vancouver, Canada and conclude this stage with a match against Bosnia national team in Seattle, USa on 24 June before their full readiness fight ahead of the breathless World Cup.
